Union Education Minister has declared that the validity of the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) qualifying certificate has been extended from seven years to a lifetime with the contemplative process from 2011.


The Minister tweeted that the respective government or UTs will take necessary action to renew fresh TET certificates to those candidates whose period of seven years has already elapsed. • Paper-2 is conducted for those candidates who decide to teach classes 6-8.

• The paper consists of 150 objective-types Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of 150 marks.

• The time duration is usually 150 minutes given to finish a TET exam i.e., two and a half hours.
