( 1 ) Comprehensive Constitution - The Constitution of India is a comprehensive document. It had a total of 395 articles and 8 schedules, which are now 395 articles and 12 schedules. Ivor Jennings says it is the largest and most detailed constitution in the world.
So far 98 amendments have been done in it. Sir Jennings has called the Constitution a lawyer's paradise.
( 2 ) Sovereign, Democratic, Secular, Socialist Republic – As can be said from the preamble, India is sovereign, one who sets its own policies and is a state free from bound control.
Democratic means, the country does not recognize any religion as the state religion and treats all religions equally.
Socialism refers to economic socialism, it is a complement to economic justice.

( 3 ) Parliamentary form of government - In India, the constitutional head remains the nominal head. The real power lies directly in the person chosen by the people. There are two systems of governance -

In the presidential system, in the presidential system, the real power is vested in the constitutional head.
( 4 ) Fundamental Rights - A total of 6 fundamental rights have been described in Part 3 of the Constitution, these fundamental rights are not unrestricted, restrictions have also been imposed on them.
( 5 ) Directive Principles of State Policy - Directive principles of the policy are some sacred obligations, which have been considered as the welfare obligation of the state, according to Glavin Austin, the Directive Principles of Policy is the soul of the state.
( 6 ) Adult Suffrage - The age of the voter in the Indian Constitution was at least 21 years, it has been increased to a maximum of 18 years by the 61st Constitutional Amendment.
( 7 ) Independent Judiciary - It means that the judiciary in India is not dependent on any other organ or legislature or executive.
( 8 ) Centralized Constitution - The Constitution of India is centralized, that is, a constitution leaning towards the Union.
